Description (Image 231 of 365)
I’ve had an interest in taking rustic pictures. At first this hook seemed completely misplaced on the side of the building which had me thinking it’s probably ancient. But then as I looked around more, I realized that this building has a pulley system to lift furniture to the second floor.
Technical
I used the telephoto lens to zoom in on this hook which is about ten feet higher than me. Normally I would have to stand much farther under it and look up at it to get a close zoom. This of course would create an different angle for me. With the telephoto, I was able to stand back a little bit and zoom in.
I like this picture, but now I need to figure out some editing techniques to really give is some Zing!.

I’d love to play with the RAW file…but I can’t find your email anywhere on this site to contact you.
Fun challenge! (Both the photo manipulation AND finding your email LOL)

I’m in as well if you can send me the RAW. Love the image by the way…cool brick and rusty hook. Looked through your other photos and love your use of depth of field.
Matt, I updated the post with a link to the RAW file. Can’t wait!
Wow! You really gave it some Zing alright! Love it!
