Okay, I know that sometimes it looks a little ego-centric, BUT turn that camera around and take some pictures of yourself! We don’t have very many pictures of me with Adam or Milli. So many times when I think of people taking pictures of themselves, it seems like they are absorbed with themselves. Get over it!
I’m making conscious decisions to get into the picture either by turning the camera around or asking someone to take the picture.

Great photo. You both have wonderful smiles. And yes, a good idea to include yourself in your photos every now and then. I have whole albums of our family vacations that it looks like I didn’t attend.
Two great smiles! And I agree. Looking back, when you’re the primary picture taker, you find there’s hardly any pictures with you in them, you and your kids, the whole family, you doing something you love…. I don’t consider myself a particulary photogenic person, so sometimes avoid pictures for that reason, but yet I still want the record of those important events and special times and precious moments I spent with those I love, so that one day I’ll have them to look back on, and see us – together – the way it was.
I think you nailed one of my biggest craves in photography- a picture of me doing what I love. I love most seeing someone in their element; in fact, it’s my favorite type of capture. But it’s rare for the picture taker to have an image for themselves. I’d love to have an image that expresses how creative and empowered I feel doing that thing I love.
